National Route 72 - National Cycle Network starting in Kendal, journeying around the West Cumbrian coast via Barrow-in-Furness and Whitehaven to Silloth.

Hadrian’s Cycleway - A 174 mile ride through some of England’s most dramatic and wild countryside, taking in magnificent coastal views, breathtaking countryside and roman forts. From Glannaventa Roman Bath House in Ravenglass, along the Western Lake District coastline, then across country to Arbeia Roman Fort and Museum at South Shields.
