WESTERN LAKE DISTRICT LAKES
The Western Lake District boasts England’s deepest lake - Wastwater. Sitting in the magnificent Wasdale Valley, Wastwater is arguably the most dramatic of all the lakes, while Bassenthwaite Lake is truly impressive and can hold claim to being the only true ‘lake’ in the Lake District! Along with Derwentwater, Loweswater, Ennerdale Water, Crummock Water and Longlands Lake, the Other Side of the Lakes offers a tremendous and truly enviable selection of picturesque places to discover, enjoy and photograph.
